MEMORIAL OF SAINTS MARTHA, MARY AND LAZARUS

In February of this year, upon the urging of Pope Francis, the Congregation for Divine Worship decreed that July 29 would be dedicated to remembering not just Saint Martha, but also her sister and brother, Mary and Lazarus.

Grant almighty God, that the example of your Saints may spur us on to a better life, so that we, who celebrate the memory of Saints Martha, Mary and Lazarus, may also imitate without ceasing their deeds. We pray through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Let us remember that Jesus was very human, like you and me. He treasured very much his dear friends, Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. Offer today a prayer of gratitude to the Lord for the gift of your friends!
