The Fourth Day of our Novena to the Holy Spirit

On the day before He was to suffer, on the night of the Last Supper, Jesus said to his disciples, “Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to your own home and you will leave me alone. But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.”

PRAYER

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful family at St. Mary Parish and kindle in us the fire of your love. Enflame our hearts with a reverence for You, and guide us in discerning what it is You desire us to do in your Name. Accompany us on our Synodal Path. Give us Your Precious Gift of Fortitude, and remind us that we have strength for everything through him who empowers us. May we not lose heart but rather trust that the Holy Spirit can lift our hearts and communicate new vigor and enthusiasm to our lives, always following Jesus (Pope Francis). Give us the strength to let go of what needs letting go of so that we can begin anew and renew our parish, all for Your greater glory. In the Holy Spirit’s Power, Amen.
