March 3: Day by Day with Father Bill
WEDNESDAY OF THE SECOND WEEK OF LENT
SAINT IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA’S SUSCIPE*
Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my intellect, and all my will – all that I have and possess. You gave it all to me: to you, Lord, I return it! All is yours, dispose of it according to your will. Give me your love and grace, for this is enough for me.
*Suscipe is Latin for “receive”

When I see all you’ve done for me, and given me, when I see the immensity of your generosity, Lord, I want to give everything back to you with all-consuming love. Thank you for making me your beloved. Draw me into this never-ending gratitude that is synonymous with the Trinity, inescapable in life in you (from A Year with the Mystics edited by Kathryn Jean Lopez).
